Elayne Stratz is an avid, lifelong woodcrafter primarily. She also enjoys poetry, journaling, paper mache, oils, acrylics, watercolors, beading, sewing, knitting, crocheting and pine needle basketry. She has a special love of racewalking and beach combing. Just adore, admire and appreciate all forms of art. She is always thrilled to meet other crafters too.
She graduated from University of New Haven with a BS in Public and Social Administration and worked as a bank marketing analyst. She studied art with instructors from Connecticut and South Carolina as she lived in South Carolina for 20 years; studied with many artists there including taking “therom painting” under the direction of Sara Tiffany ( Richard Gere’s aunt). She is a published poet also.
