Tina Genc is an educator by day and an artist that focuses on marina themed subjects as well as portrait painting and drawing. She focuses on natural landscape painting using lots of bright hues and cool tones to accentuate the powerful view of nature. Tina focuses on capturing the bright and vivid moments of coastal scenery. Genc has a liberal arts degree in Education and English. She is a self-taught artist for fourteen years. To gain more insight on artistic techniques, she studied some courses with The Art Studio of New York, focusing on watercolor painting and advanced drawing techniques including portrait and figure drawing. She also studied portrait drawing techniques at a boutique studio in South Korea while working there as an educator. Her hobbies also include photography of landscapes and animals in nature. Tina has also taught afterclass drawing and painting courses to elementary level students and inspired a passion for creating and expressing visual art. Tina’s work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut. This is her first exhibition showcasing her painting, “Endless Storm.”
