Port Jeff Dragonfly, beach stones on canvas, 5 x 7; I Love, beach stones and seaglass on canvas, 3 x 3; Anchors Away, beach stones on canvas, 4 x 6

Susan and her husband are avid boaters and spend most of their summer weekends traveling to LongIsland, Watch Hill, Block Island, Cuttyhunk and many other beautiful beaches! All beach stones and material used in Susan’s art work have been handpicked. The canvas and cairns are simple designs but are intended to highlight the beauty of the stones.Nantucket, Block Island and Watch Hill have beautiful gray, flat stones, while parts of Long Island have whites, pinks and oranges. FL doesn’t have stones but has an abundance of coral and shells. Each beach is unique which makes the search that much more fun!Cairns were initially used as markers on hiking trails, however, for some, they have evolved into spiritual and calming pieces of art.

Susan is fairly new to the art world and just started participating in local church fairs and Christmas fairs in 2022. She works full time in the telecommunications industry, however, in her spare time, she enjoys scouring beaches for the next treasure!

Susan is happy to make custom orders so please let her know if there is a design that you’re interested in.

Susan resides in Clinton with her husband and they have three children and three grandsons. Besides boating she also has a love of flowers and gardening.
