After years of professional work, Joanne retired and happily delved into the arts that she left since her younger years after a degree in Art Education. While originally from the Philadelphia area, she has lived in various states but has made Lyme her home since 1998. She now works in clay and fiber arts, having gotten her start with felt sculpture with local artist Lori Neumann. She particularly enjoys working with various wools and creating wildlife.

Joanne Milke’s fiber art is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
