Salt Water Taffy #8, rice paper, watercolor, point pen, acrylic, marker on canvas, 11.75 x 11.75

It all started in elementary school. Andrea bugged the librarian for an opportunity to decorate the display window, every week for the whole school year, often without showing one book! She also made some of her own clothes, usually styles her parents didn’t allow her to wear, and painted retail signs for a local business.

After graduating from Brockport State University, Andrea Boccacino moved to NYC, working in Madison Avenue ad agencies for 10 years. She earned an M.A. from New York University and spent over 20 years as a chef, super-taster, product developer & marketer for global food companies and restaurants.

Boccacino has called several States home. She spent a year living in the heart of London, England.  In late 2015 Andrea began showing & selling her art for the first time. A juried artist and award-winner, she’s exhibited her watercolor paintings, stippling, mixed media resin and collage in Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Florida, and New York.  Andrea hopes you use her art as a way to slow down, wander and stay curious. “If you stopped and looked, and lingered, then I’ve done my job…” she says. “I make art that takes your eyes on a mini vacation.”   Andrea’s artwork is collected globally and is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, CT.
