A Beautiful Unraveling, fiber and acrylic on canvas 14×20
Amy LaBossiere is an award-winning mixed-media artist whose work explores grief, healing, and emotional transformation. Working with layered surfaces that incorporate fiber, paint, found fabrics, and objects, she creates tactile narratives that investigate resilience, recovery, and human connection.
Her work has been exhibited regionally and is held in private collections. Recent honors include First Place in the Common Threads exhibition at Farmington Valley Arts Center (2025), a Juror’s Choice Award from the Connecticut Women Artists Annual Juried Exhibition (2023), and an Honorable Mention in the Fiber Arts Exhibit at Arts Center East (2025).
LaBossiere is an active member of CT Women Artists and has contributed to the local arts community for nearly two decades through exhibitions, curatorial work, and arts leadership. She lives and works in Hartford, and her work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
