Christopher Leo Cloutier (1960 -) is an American artist, Art/Poster restorer, and Filmmaker who has created works in his Brooklyn art space since 1983. His restoration studio, Posterfix, opened in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in 2010. Chris Cloutier is known for his abstract colorful, dramatic collages of natural motifs, like light, atmosphere, and textures, all made from scrap newsprint. Chris is the recipient of the Berwick Academy Art Award, The Circle of Honor, and many others.  He is professionally affiliated with art & art restoration groups, including but not limited to the Salmagundi Club, The Ephemera Society, and The International Vintage Posters Dealers Association.  Cloutier regularly gives demonstrations and talks in collage techniques as well as lectures on the history of vintage posters and media.  Chris has lectured at Parsons School of Design, The School of Vidual Arts, and more. He maintains a Youtube channel showcasing his art work creation as well as restoration at Posterfix Corp and has produced over 1500 videos since 2010.  A few group exhibitions featuring his work, including Space 776 in New York City, are scheduled for the end of this year and next. Cloutier has exhibited at Gallery on the Green, Lexington MA, Northern Forest Heritage Park, Berlin NH, Limner Gallery, New York, NY, Smithsonian Collection of 9.11 Art, Washington DC, and many more. Cloutier’s work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, CT.
