Victoria Williams’s hopes to bring a quiet serenity and optimism through her contemporary impressionist paintings. Her thoughts are most often expressed through joyful color and organic line and shape. Landscapes, Still Life Paintings, and Floral works are her favorite subjects. She has also been commissioned to provide portraits, house portraits, local landscapes and pet portraits.
Victoria earned her BA in Fine Arts at Colgate University and her MA in Student Personnel Administration, at Teachers College Columbia University. For over 20 years Williams has taught art to children, including spending 15 years as a preschool teacher and as the kindergarten art teacher at Holy Trinity School’s Mountainside, NJ, early childhood learning center.
Williams is part of the ArtSpace Community in Morristown, NJ, the Madison (CT) Art Society, the Westfield (NJ) Art Association, the NJ Plein Air Painters, and the NJ Center for Visual Arts. Her work is in private collections in the US, Canada, and France. Victoria’s paintings and collages have been exhibited at Colgate University. Her paintings are currently hanging in a one-woman show at the Westfield Memorial Library in NJ and Victoria’s work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
