Oak & Acorn Small Cosmetic-Lingerie Bag, 100% cotton

Valerie Owens, influenced and guided by her mother, began sewing doll clothes at a very young age and then making clothes for herself. This was the start of her love of taking a piece of fabric and creating something both beautiful, and useful. Over time, Valerie stretched her talents by creating one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces, and discovered her love of wire weaving and wrapping. The characteristics of the wire and its ability to stretch, bend, and twist allow her to highlight the natural gemstones in her unique creations. Now retired, Valerie worked as a computer technician for 25 years and holds a BA degree from Southern Nazarene University. Her works have been featured in gift shops and home shows in her state of Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Old Lyme, CT.  “Sweet Pea Boutique” is Valerie’s design name.

Valerie’s Jewelry is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
