Over the past 20 years Lois has shown her work in group shows in Massachusetts, including the Brickbottom Artists Gallery, the Lembu Art Show, and the Arisia Convention Art Show where she won Convention Chair’s Choice in 2019. In 2016 she participated in the ‘Play Me, I’m Yours’ project by Luke Jerram in Boston. This project, started in 2008, occurs in different cities around the world, and places pianos decorated by local artists in public space with the invitation, ‘Play Me, I’m Yours,’ worked into the design. In 2015 she was commissioned to create a 35’ x 8’ mural for the lobby of the Millbrook Lofts building in Somerville, Massachusetts, demonstrating that the works can be rendered at very large as well as wall-art scale. In addition to her digital art, she works in mixed media and collage, has exhibited and sold her photography, and is a maker and creator in a list of crafts that includes spinning wool and silk yarn, weaving, bead embroidery, bobbin lace, pottery, and ceramics. A lifelong singer, she has sung for over 50 years in the various churches she has attended. She recently moved to Deep River from Somerville, Massachusetts, where she lived at the Brickbottom Artists building, and where she served as president of the Brickbottom Artists Association from 2019 to 2021. She holds a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering and has worked full time as a Computer System Administrator for the past 30 years.
