John Murray was born in New Haven Ct. Throughout his life has pursued a love for Art and design. Spent over forty years in the packaging industry in the Design Department has several Patents and received many awards in the Packaging Industry. He has been involved with watercolor art for over twenty years.

His passion for art is matched by a natural talent to paint a wide variety of subjects, highlighted by expressive coastal scenes, intimate woodland pictorials and seasonal treks through the countryside.

“I want to produce art that pleases me for many personal reasons. Then, if it pleases the viewer, I’m glad. I’ve always had a fascination for art. My family have always been very supportive of my career as well as being my best critics.”

Murray’s watercolors are currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
