Nanas Glory, fine art photograph, 21.5in h x 24.5in w
John Murry has over fifty years’ experience with photography, started his journey with the first Brownie camera that his parents had given to him while on family vacation. Moving later into 35mm and building a personal darkroom to develop and print. He is self-taught by reading Ansel Adams books and taking Adult High School classes on Photography. Receiving honorable mention from the National Geographic Society.
Retiring from the Packaging Industry has allowed him time to travel and visit many different places in New England and other areas. The main emphasis was looking for the beauty in Landscapes and city scenes that have been encountered in Life. Whether it be in Nature, Flora, Fauna or Cityscapes, searching for the beauty that lies in simple days of our lives. Photography in Color because of the richness in the variety and Black and White for the sometimes starkness. Using both genres to express different emotions and feelings.
Murry’s photography is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
