Bucking Bull, fine art photograph
Jake is a graduate of Skidmore College and currently works as an analyst in the Department of Housing and Urban Development. He first started to take photography seriously during his senior year of college when he took a beginner photography course. He had spent a lot of time previously taking photos, but that intro course gave him the insight into actively forming composition that he carries with him to this day.
It has been six years since that course. In that time, he has showcased his photos in the Shoreline Arts Association’s IMAGES gallery as well as offered it in various street markets in New York and Connecticut. Jake is happy with the progress he has made with his photography and am excited where this hobby will take him.
His preferred subject matter has changed over the years, from landscapes, to wildlife, from travel photography to astrophotography. These photos come from Costa Rica during his time in the Peace Corps, when his host family took him to a rodeo on the first night of his stay with them.
