Edith Skiba LaMonica has a BA in Painting from Empire State College SUNY and a Masters in Art History from the University at Stony Brook NY. She taught Design, Studio Art and Art History at The College of New Jersey Trenton, SUNY Empire State College, and Suffolk Community College NY. She gave classes in Art Appreciation at Tunxis Community College, Farmington.
Represented by the ARTWORKS Gallery of the PHILADELPHIA MUSEUM OF ART her paintings are in private and public collections. Her work has been featured by publications including The Philadelphia Inquirer and In the Spotlight of the New Britain Museum of American Art Bulletin.
A few of her exhibitions in Connecticut include: Five Points Gallery Torrington, Northwest Community College Winsted, The Underground Gallery Collinsville, The Loft Gallery New Preston, UCONN Celeste Lewitt Gallery, ArtSpace in Hartford, and Fisher Gallery Farmington Valley Arts Center. Her work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
