At Gallery: Introduction to Fluid Art Workshop


Try your hand at fluid painting! Fluid painting involves layering acrylic paints of different densities and incorporating certain additives which can result in gorgeous combinations of paint, cells, and lacing...or mud depending upon what you put together! The Blooms technique will be demonstrated using 4 ceramic tiles which can be used as coasters. The best part is no artistic experience is necessary.

Time:  1-4 pm

Cost: $50.00 plus $15 paid directly to the instructor, Members save $5

Teaching artist Pauline Clifford is not an artist by vocation or profession; she is an educator, focused on technology infusion in the classroom. She serves as Director of Educational Technology at Quinebaug Valley Community College and in an adjunct capacity, also teaches English.Pauline dove into the world of jewelry making at the prompting of friends. Although she started with basic bead stringing and wire wrapping, Pauline has excelled in bead embroidery incorporating Soutache braid and Shibori silk. Pauline earned a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Language and Literature, a Master’s degree in Language and Literacy, and a Ph.D. in Educational Technology.
