A Show of Hands – The Fiber Arts

Spectrum Gallery presents the work of tri-state artists who use plant, animal, or synthetic fibers to create fine art, decorative and functional home décor, distinctive jewelry and accessories. The seven-week show, located at 61 Main Street, Centerbrook, Connecticut includes an Open Reception, Friday, January 23 from 6:30-9 pm.
Spectrum Gallery and Store, an expansion of the Arts Center Killingworth, opened in the spring of 2014 and presents approximately five annual exhibits showcasing painting, mixed media, sculpture and photography. The Store offers fine crafts in fabric, glass, ceramics, pottery, jewelry and more. Educational and interactive events such as classes and workshops, artist discussions and demos, and family day events are also offered at the Gallery.
The non-profit Arts Center Killingworth, founded in 2004, organizes exhibits and concerts, and offers classes, camps and workshops for children, teens and adults. The Arts Center also provides volunteer opportunities and tax-deductible Memberships with benefits such as class and workshop discounts, complimentary tickets, members-only special invitations, and advertising and fee discounts for artists, and local and regional businesses.
