Valerie is known for her exploration of various mediums from printing to metal work as well as oils and acrylics. She is often found using expressive landscape motifs, abstraction and surrealism to tell a story. She draws inspiration from nature and the dynamic opposition our perception has with it.
Valerie graduated from Southern Connecticut State University with a BS in Graphic Design. She has done volunteer work in the past with the former gallery Artwell in Torrington, CT. Her work has primarily been the production of graphic design and signage. Although she has studied printmaking and screen printing, she has recently begun exploring impressionistic painting. She is self- taught for the last three years. She has studied with Deborah Leonard.
