A Connecticut native, Sue Mullaney earned her B.S. degree in clothing and textile design from theUniversity of Connecticut and her M.A. in art education from Southern Connecticut State University.After working in advertising for 14 years, she became a public school educator and spent the next 21years of her career as a visual arts teacher in the New Haven and Cheshire Public Schools. In addition, she has taught classes at West Hartford Adult Ed; the Learning Exchange Program in Manchester; and the Guilford Art Center. She is currently a member of the faculty at Arts place in Cheshire.

Sue’s collage, photography, printmaking & basketry has been exhibited in many galleries and shows including the Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, the Connecticut Women Artists organization, the WestHartford Art League and the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, in which she won the Joshua Point StudioAward for collage.

Sue has studied with collage artists Regina Thomas, Rashmi Talpade, and Dianne Zweig, and her work is in private collections in New England, Florida and California
