Rita Bond is an award-winning artist, a teacher and a landscape designer. Her artworks, inspired by her love of New England, reflect regional landscapes and seascapes. “I try to capture the essence of a place, explore color and the transience of time and mood,” she stated. She has studied with Frank Federico, Ilona Levitz, Eric Aho, among others.
Ms. Bond’s paintings have been shown in many local galleries and juried art shows. Her works are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and overseas.
Ms. Bond has been a visiting artist in local schools and is one of the founders of the Simsbury Open Studios group. She is also a member of other local artist associations. One of her recent awards received was for her work “Birches” given by the 2015 West Hartford Art League CT + 6 Art Show. Her artwork is currently exhibited at Spectrum Art Gallery in Centerbrook, CT.
