Rita Bond is an award winning artist, teacher and landscape designer, whose artworks, inspired by her love of New England, reflect regional landscapes and seascapes. “I try to capture the essence of a place, exploring color and the transience of time and mood,” she stated. She has studied with Frank Federico, Ilona Levitz, and Eric Aho, among others.
Ms. Bond’s paintings have been in many local galleries and juried art shows. Her works are in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and overseas, including two major regional hospitals. Ms. Bond has been a visiting artist in local schools and a founder of the Simsbury Open Studios group as well as a member of other local artist associations. Rita’s piece, “Birches,” was the recipient of an award at the 2015 West Hartford Art League CT + 6 Art Show. Her artwork can also be seen at Piccolo Arrancio Restaurant in Farmington.
