Michelle Gore is a Connecticut resident and native, having grown up along the state’s shoreline (City of West Haven) and currently residing in the Town of Durham. Michelle is both an artist and an environmental engineer, with both avocations inspired by the natural splendor of, and recreational opportunities offered by, our state’s beautiful beaches, forests, and gardens. She is also motivated by a desire to up cycle and recycle used items into creative expressions.

Artistically, Michelle studied under the late Mary Mullins (Gallery on the Green, Milford) and various local and regional artists through Glastonbury Arts, Guilford Art Center, Cheshire’s Arts place Performing and Fine Arts, and Rowayton Art Center. Michelle works in several media including acrylic, pastel, watercolor, oil, ink, pencil, and charcoal, as well as in three dimensional art (fiber, jewelry, and clay).
Professionally, Michelle holds degrees in environmental engineering and civil and environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Stanford University, respectively.  She worked in both the private and public sectors for over 20 years protecting the health and safety of Connecticut’s residents and the quality of the state’s natural resources.

Michelle has exhibited her art at the annual Guilford Art Center Craft Expo and through the Rowayton Art Center’s online gallery.
