Joanna Chapin has a BFA in Theater Design but primarily worked as a Stage Manager and prop designer. After having children, she attended and graduated from the NY School of Interior Design with Highest Honors. Joanna worked as a designer in NYC. but quit to become a wrangler on a ranch for abused horses in New Mexico. She started painting in watercolor 10 years ago and has attended workshops with Charles Reid, Mary Whyte, Tony Couch, and Don Andrews. She paints animals because they don’t talk and are beautiful. Joanna’s work can be seen at Lyme Art Association, Clinton Art Association, the Middletown Art Guild and at Spectrum Art Gallery. She is also a Member of the New England Watercolor Society.
