For Jo Ann Ceasrine, wallpaper, fabrics, and tile and stone are works of art. She has a varied and wealth of experience in many aspects of the home furnishings industry. Jo Ann has been an art director in a custom ceramic tile studio, and designed award winning fabrics for the home furnishings industry as well as created many unique hand painted fabrics.

Her love of color in her paintings, began when she studied textile design at The Fashion Institute of Technology. Ceasrine then pursued a degree in fine art and art therapy. Jo Ann loves to combine many elements in painting mediums, gouache, watercolor, pastel, Caran d’ache. Her love of texture is also used in her mixed media, raised relief paintings. She combines recycled materials with paint and mica to create interesting raised textures that emote depth in color.

Ceasrine currently designs room environments for the residential home industry where her work is featured in a unique showroom, SURFACE of Westport. She enjoys donating her work for silent auction for charity events and has sold commissions privately. Ceasrine is a featured artist at Spectrum Gallery’s Summer Arts Festival on the Essex Town Green.
