Pippin, oil on canvas, 15in h x 12w
Jacqueline Benoit Larsen is a native of Massachusetts. After high school she enlisted in the Navy and enjoyed the many places she was deployed, especially GTMOCuba. She has lived all across the UnitedStates even as a civilian. In 2009 she was diagnosed with a rare form of trigeminal neuralgia that was accompanied by severe tinnitus. The many doctors she went to told her to try and get used to it because there is no cure. So as a therapy and coping mechanism she began to paint. Her only lessons were fromYouTube videos. But it is a very good outlet, and she would encourage anyone to pick up a brush and give it a try.
Larsen’s paintings are currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Center brook, Connecticut.
