“The exploration of the creative process utilizing traditional art methods and mediums, as well as abstract and expressive techniques, conveys a need to articulate both a real and felt sense of the world. Art is also a tool when it connects the inner self with life’s experiences. By allowing the imagination to transform those encounters into meaningful images, the creative process opens one to the constant of change. Abstract art in particular, relies on that felt sense of the world to best express the energetic, psychological, and spiritual relationships with those external and internal forces of nature and the environment.”
Ms. Boehnert’s work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
