Dawna Hasara is driven by the endless capacity to convey texture and atmosphere through the media of watercolor. Inspired by nature and local cultures, Dawna has taken up and dedicated much of her retirement to learning this medium, developing a personal voice that describes her love of light, composition, mood, and color.
A recent move to Connecticut to be closer to family has given Dawna the opportunity to learn about the area’s history and unique beauty. She’s a member of the Lyme Art Association, the New Britain Art League, Arts Center East, and the West Hartford Art League where she has exhibited over the past year. Dawna has been juried into Exhibitions at the West Hartford Art League, Arts Center East, the Tolland Art Center, the Lyme Art the New Haven Paint & Clay Club. A previous resident of Texas, Hasara joined and became a board member of the Watercolor Art Society of Houston where she exhibited in many shows and won several awards.
