Dave Farrington is 85 years young. He lived in Bridgeport CT until 1960. When Dave married, they move to Fairfield. Farrington spent 4 years in the Air Force and then went to work for Avco Lycoming Textron Allied Signal as a mechanical technician.
At the age of 42 he met a carver wo agreed to teach him. Dave started mainly with ducks, and since has won numerous ribbons in shows throughout the US. In 1983, Dave started teaching bird carving several times a week. Farrington has bird carvings all across the US, England and Germany. The largest ones are a Red Tail Hawk, Osprey and Horned Owl. Dave’s carvings are currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
