Claudia has long painted in acrylics, but in the last several years, has turned back to pen and ink and watercolors using a rather fanciful style and concentrating on scenes and objects she is most familiar with. Most recently, Claudia has taken up abstract collage with paint, various markers and papers she paints.
Claudia flits around a lot in her art but is consistent in her approach and subject matter. She almost always centers on scenes and objects close to home and familiar to her. They’re usually observed close-up and in a slightly skewed manner.
She started Maple and Main Gallery in Chester, which recently closed after eight years, but remains busy exhibiting all around the state.
Claudia is a member of Connecticut Women Artists, an elected member of the Madison Art Society, Essex Art Association, member of Canton Artist Guild, Guilford Art League, Clinton Art Society (on the board) and an associate member of Lyme Art Association. Claudia’s work is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
