Golden Girls Vase, enamel paint on glass, 8in h x 3 1/2in w

Carole’s talent was first recognized in elementary school when an observant teacher selected one of her projects for a local art display.  A charcoal portrait of Lincoln executed as a high school student earned Carole an art school scholarship which served as the foundation of a lifetime devoted to expanding her artistic horizons.

Over the years Carole has experimented with pen and ink, reverse painting on glass, tole painting and oils. Most recently an ever-increasing demand for unique, hand painted decorative items for the home has been the focus of her attention.  Her work is available in select shops and galleries along the Connecticut Shoreline and river valley.

Throughout her life Carole’s father, Joe Young, was a very special source of inspiration for her. His death in 2009 motivated her to refocus her efforts on new artistic pursuits as a way to heal and to offer tribute to a very special muse and a much loved father. Today his spirit continues to guide her hand as she creates delicate, one of a kind works of art that bring pleasure to the many followers of her talent.
