Teaching Artist Candace Bialczak has two loves – Gardening and Watercolor. These can both be seen in her work which is almost always in watercolor with her gardens and nature as her subjects. As an introspective person she often notices the little things – acorns, pinecones, weeds, bugs - and magnifies them, looking for nuances of color for others to appreciate. She has received several awards for her work and is a member of the Madison Art Society, Guilford Art League, Clinton Art Society, and the Arts and Crafts Association in Meriden. Her work has been shown in various galleries and art festivals throughout Connecticut and pieces of her work are owned internationally. Candace was an Art Teacher in the Wallingford Public School System, and currently teaches watercolor classes out of Gallery 53 in Meriden, Artsplace in Cheshire, and Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook. Candace’s watercolors are exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
