Online Class: Calligraphy

Description:

Calligraphy is the art of drawing letters to transform what you write into a work of art. Developed long ago and used for thousands of years; calligraphy now includes countless alphabet styles.Each unique individual, when they hold their pen and touch it to paper, automatically makes their own. And it is always beautiful!In this fun program, familiarize yourself with the instruments of calligraphy ~ the calligrapher's pen (felt-tip),the template sheet, and calligraphy paper. You’ll also learn the technique of one of the calligraphic alphabets. With a little practice you’ll gain some skill and know the basics of calligraphy able to do beautiful hand lettering yourself! It's a great way to add flair to your cards, address the envelopes you mail, or leave special notes.

Here’s what’s covered in each of the two sessions: In Session#1, you’ll start to use the felt-tip pen. These pens are easy for learning calligraphy basics and are for calligraphy on the go! You’ll learn one of the calligraphic alphabets and leave with a beautiful interpretation of your name by your own hand!

In Session#2, we'll continue where we left off, adding more flair to your letters while learning how to make an all occasion greeting card!Website suggestions for materials available after registration.
